Her Story
Kylie was the kind of person who lit up every room she walked into. With her radiant smile, infectious laughter, and a heart full of love, she made everyone around her feel seen and valued.
She was a wonderful mother. Her daughter Angelina was her whole world. Kylie poured her love into creating magical moments, from birthday celebrations to everyday adventures. She was also a fiercely loyal friend, the one who showed up, who held you tight, and who made every night out an unforgettable memory.
But behind the beautiful smile, Kylie was quietly carrying the weight of deep trauma, pain she didn't have the tools or resources to navigate. In 2017, we lost Kylie to suicide. Her passing left a void in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
A Personal Loss
Kylie and I were close long before KYLI ever existed. We dated at one time, and even after our relationship ended, we remained incredibly close friends. She was someone I could always count on, and I'd like to think she felt the same about me.
When we lost Kylie in 2017, I was devastated. But if I'm being honest, I didn't fully understand what she had been going through. I didn't recognize the signs because I couldn't see them in myself yet.
On March 19, 2023, I survived my own suicide attempt. In that moment, and in the difficult days that followed, everything changed. The pain Kylie had carried, the struggles I had overlooked, suddenly became my own. I finally understood what she had been facing, and it broke my heart that I hadn't seen it sooner.
That experience didn't just reshape me. It gave me clarity. I knew I had to turn that pain into something real, something that could reach the people who are silently carrying the same weight Kylie was, the same weight I was. That's why KYLI exists. Every pattern someone finally sees carries a piece of both of our stories with it.

Kylie was carrying something she couldn't see clearly. The patterns, the pain, the weight of it all. She didn't have anyone who could slow her down long enough to recognize what was happening.
KYLI: Keeping Your Life InFocus was born from that loss. Not to fix anyone. Because you're not broken. But because everyone deserves a chance to see what they're living inside of before it decides for them.
